Bio
Mr. Couch was born in Connecticut while his dad was on a submarine, and moved around a lot as a kid. He attended K-12 in Indiana, Minnesota, Oregon, and South Korea, but spent more time (and most recent time) in Oregon, so considers himself a Northwesterner...GO DUCKS!

After 5 years of working various wildlife jobs around the American West, he realized that he liked working with people too much to stay out in the wilds forever, so he went back to school to teach. Mr. Couch was able to get a teaching degree while digging through partially digested fish (my day job) in Corvallis, OR....GO BEAVERS!

His first teaching job was in Boulder, where he taught for 5 years before moving to Pagosa. The pace of life, size and friendliness of Pagosa, and incredible surrounding wild places brought him here in 2011.

Mr. Couch lives with his wife, her dad, two horses, two cats, and a dog named Diesel. The small ranch where they live keeps him busy when he's not at school, but when he has some time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and playing the guitar.
