Staff Meeting / Grade Level PLC Meetings

Please convene in the library at 1:45 pm for a short staff meeting followed by grade-level professional learning community meetings.

Staff Meeting Agenda:

• Kudos / Celebrations
• Review Agenda for PD/Work Day - Jan. 23rd
• Writing Focus - Review Grade Level Progressions - Setting a high bar 
• Discuss the proposal for making up a M/W class.
• SST meeting:  Wednesday, Jan. 18 - 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (library conference room) - review progress monitoring from 2nd quarter, documentation in Google Drive & develop a strong referral process for future SST meetings
  

• Writing Focus - collaborate regarding current writing practices / possible future practices that could help to improve writing for all students.  
• Possible Questions to Ponder/Discuss Regarding Writing:
  • Do we all hold a high bar for writing in our classes?
  • Are there possible exploratory classes we could offer to improve writing skills?
  • Do we have sufficient Tier II support in place for writing?
  • Do parents know their student's current writing level?
  • How might we partner with parents to increase writing outside of school?
  • Do we use writing as a punishment?
