Wolf Creek School Program

Every winter, all middle school students have the opportunity to participate in the Wolf Creek School Program.  For over 30 years, the middle school has partnered with Wolf Creek Ski Area to teach our students how to ski and/or snowboard. Students go to the mountain after Christmas break where they are taught at their skill level by a Wolf Creek ski instructor. Students will engage in a 2-hour lesson in the morning and then explore the mountain with an instructor in the afternoon.  We strive for students to become strong skiers and/or snowboarders and embrace the active, healthy lifestyle that Colorado is known for. Additionally, this program exposes students to the Colorado ski industry and many of our students go on to work at Wolf Creek Ski Area later in life. If you are new to the Wolf Creek School Program, please read the parent letter below.

Ski dates are as follows for the 2024-2025 school year:
5th-January 7th
6th-January 8th
7th-January 29th
8th-February 5th

We will depart at 8:30 am and return at 4:30 pm - parent pick will be necessary.

Family Days:

A huge bonus to this program is the Family Days.   Wolf Creek Ski Area offers family days following the school program to encourage participation.  If your child participates in the school program, the whole family qualifies for reduced lift tickets, lessons, and rentals ($15 per day per person!).  Please encourage your child to fully participate in this outstanding program, and if you get a chance, thank Wolf Creek Ski Area for offering this to our community. Please reference our school calendar for upcoming dates or see them listed below.

New for the 2024-2025 Family Days pre-registration is a requirement. Families are now required
to pre-register online at shop.WolfCreekSki.com/familyday and must do so at least one day prior
to the Family Day they plan to ski/snowboard. Pre-registration of Family Day participants will
allow the Ticket Office to verify children have attended a scheduled School Program Ski Day,
which qualifies siblings and parents for the Family Day rate. It will also give Ski School the ability
to know the number of students who will be participating in lessons under the Family Day
Program, as well as allow Ski Rental to know the number of rentals that will be needed.
Eligible families can access Wolf Creek's Online Store to pre-purchase Family Day Tickets via
shop.wolfcreekski.com/familyday. The family will pay in full at the time of registration, and
refunds will not be issued for cancellations. When accessing the Family Day Registration page,
parents will see an Adult Family Day Registration option as well as a Child Family Registration
option. Adults are considered ages nineteen and older. Children are ages five through eighteen.
Parents will add the number of appropriate Family Day Registration products to their shopping
cart. Each registration will then have a lift ticket, morning lesson, and rental selection. Parents
will need to uncheck any of the three products that will not be needed for each family member.
Each registration will also require a Family Member to be assigned to the registration product
and will ask if the family member is skiing or snowboarding in addition to the member's ability
level. Any siblings or parents participating in lessons will need to read and agree to Ski School
Waivers and Responsibilities. Rental information will also be required for members renting skis
for the day.

Once Family Day Registration is completed and paid for, an email confirmation will be sent to
the primary family member on the account. Family Day tickets will then be picked up the
morning of Family Day at the Ticket Office. An I.D. of the purchaser and the credit card used to
purchase the tickets will need to be presented to the Ticket Office cashier when picking up lift
tickets. Each family member will also be required to be present at the Ticket Office.
Families who have any questions or need assistance pre-registering are welcome to call the
Ticket Office at 970-264-5639 or email [email protected]. We look forward to
seeing everyone on the mountain!
