In an effort to improve student safety and to improve traffic flow in our downtown location, the bus drop-off and pick-up location will be changed to the school parking lot on the east end of campus by our administration office.  Buses will enter in what is commonly referred to as the alley entrance and line up along the chainlink fence.  Our transportation department led this collaboration between the school, law enforcement, town, and community. Collectively we agreed the changes to move the bus drop-off and pick-up location from Lewis Street to this new location will be safer for students and staff.  We also expect it will greatly improve traffic flow.  

Parent drop-off and pick-up will now be along Lewis Street, North 3rd Street, North 4th Street, and Pagosa Street.  Please do not use the alley entrance off North 3rd Street.  Additionally, we will have designated parking spaces for parent drop-off and pick-up at the top of the stairs by the basketball courts on Lewis Street.  Please limit your time in this designated parent drop-off and pick-up area.  Finally, we are in the process of adding fencing and openings in the fence to improve loading and unloading safety.  New signage will be posted soon as well.  We will review these new procedures with parents and students at open house nights so everyone is aware of the changes, and we will have extra staff out directing traffic at the beginning of the school year.  Please reference the map below for a visual of the bus loading zone and parent drop-off and pick-up areas.
