Bio

Lesley was born and raised in Cortez, Colorado, where she grew to love the variety of outdoor recreational opportunities that Colorado has to offer.. After graduating high school, Lesley moved to Greeley to attend the University of Northern Colorado, working on her Bachelor’s degree in teaching with an emphasis on English as a second language. Her highschool sweetheart, Josh, who didn’t know what to do with himself after highschool, followed her to UNC and they ended up married. Through most of her adult life she has now followed her husband’s career with the Forest Service around the western United States.w While much of that time has been focused on being a mother to two wonderful girls, Lily, aka Big Sister and Penelope aka Penny or Pip, she has found opportunities to teach, both in Colorado and Wyoming.   Lesley loves the San Juan Mountains and always dreamed of settling down in Southwest Colorado, as it has always felt like home.  Outside of work, Lesley enjoys being outside, enjoying hiking and camping with her family and their bulldog.  One other outdoor activity that Lesley enjoys is photographing important moments of people’s lives, which has culminated in a successful photography side business.
