McKayla Miller was born and raised in lovely Pagosa Springs, CO. After graduating Pagosa Springs high school, she attended Fort Lewis College for four years to earn a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-6th with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and a Culturally and Linguistically diverse endorsement. In her endeavours of education, she spent time in 3 durango schools, Pagosa Springs Elementary School, and Pagosa Peak Open School. She has dreamed of being a teacher since first grade and is very excited to start her official teaching at the middle school that helped shape her. She comes from a big family, of which is a priority in her life. She loves to read, create, adventure, horseback ride, and enjoy the beautiful nature Pagosa has to offer. McKayla looks forward to getting to know her students and inviting them to learn the marvelous aspects that Language Arts has to offer.
