Mrs. Jenkins was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, the Valley of the Sun. Loving the sunshine but tired of
the heat, she moved to Pagosa Springs in 2013 with her husband and two young children. She loves
living in a climate that includes all four seasons and spends as much time outdoors as possible enjoying
all that Pagosa has to offer. Activities she enjoys includes hiking, biking, skiing, fishing/ice fishing,
camping, and anything on or near the water. She especially loves walking her two “Doodle” dogs and
can often be seen downtown with them in tow, or her in tow as is often the case.
An avid supporter of all things learning and growing, she has spent numerous hours volunteering for all
aspects of life in Pagosa Springs, including the local schools, after school enrichment programs, Aspire,
sporting events and 4H.
As the Middle School Librarian and a bibliophile (bookworm), she hopes to develop a lifelong love of
learning and reading in our Pagosa Pirate students and will work hard to put the FUN in the fundamental
skill of Reading!
One thing you may not know about Mrs. Jenkins, is that she loves music and loves to sing. She has
participated in the Community Choir every Fall for the last five years and enjoys the mental challenge of
learning and reading music as they prepare for the annual Christmas Concert. If you get a chance to
attend this well-loved Pagosa event, please be sure to look for her in the choir!
