Bio
Mrs. Pederson was born into a military family at Moody AFB, Georgia. She graduated from high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then attended college on an Air Force ROTC scholarship at the University of Denver. She was commissioned by her father as an officer in the Air Force and served at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, working with nuclear effects software. She and her husband, Gary, have four adult children born in three different decades. She worked as a mom and household manager for many years, volunteering in the schools and her community, and later homeschooled her youngest two children for about eight years. She rejoined the workforce in 2011 as a special education aide. Growing up with a sister who has Down Syndrome, Mrs. Pederson is passionate about working with people of all ages who have unique challenges. Mrs. Pederson and her husband have just moved to Pagosa Springs from Parker, Colorado, and are excited to live here and become part of this wonderful community. We are hoping the beauty of the San Juans brings our children and grandchildren here often to visit!
