Malinda Burnett was born and raised in Pagosa Springs.  After graduating from Pagosa Springs High School, she attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, where she studied Music Education. More recently she received her Master's in education at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison.  She loves being involved in the many musical activities in the area.  Malinda is a member of the Pagosa Springs Community Band, the Southwest Civic Winds (out of Durango), and she frequently plays in the 'pit' for the high school and CUP musicals.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pagosa Springs Community Band.
