Mrs. Garcia was born in Elko, Nevada and attended grades K-10 in Battle Mountain, Nevada.  She moved to Blanca, CO graduating from Sierra Grande High School.  Mrs. Garcia earned her BA in Elementay Education and her MA in Special Education from Adams State College.  She taught in Dulce, NM for three years. This will be Mrs. Garcia's 27th year teaching in Pagosa Springs. In addition to her passion for teaching, Mrs. Garcia enjoys spending time with her family, reading, mountain biking, camping, hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, tubing, swimming, playing volleyball, and traveling.
